The Corcoran Family from Eaglescliffe in Stockton on Tees raised 1,300 pounds during a Ladies Pamper Evening. This was so successful, 3 more evenings were organized for November. Updates to follow from these events.
Lomond Platform B.P donated 300 pounds
Falck Nutec donated 800 pounds. We would also like to give a huge thank you to Falck Nutec as they have just confirmed that Hands Of Love will be their appointed charity for 2008! We are not sure what this will mean for the charity, but are very excited and appreciative of their support. They have also promised to send out two parcels to the Orphanage and School for Christmas - one from their Aberdeen branch and one from their Teesside branch. A big THANK YOU.
Faith and Football - the Portsmouth based Christian charity (www.faithandfootball.org.uk) has donated 600 pounds and paid for a piece of land next to Hands of Love which will be a sports area (Football, Netball etc). This land is in the process of being purchased, but the flooding has disrupted the sale. We hope that it will be completed by November. This will give the children the chance to play sport and have some enjoyment in their lives. We are very grateful to this charity for supporting Hands of Love.
